Born January 29, 1970, Heather Graham is an American television and film actress. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from the Agoura High School in California in 1988. Her passion for acting began at an early age despite her parents’ objections.
Heather Graham has appeared on two episodes of the television series Growing Pains and in the TV movie License to Drive. In 1989, she was given a small role in Drugstore Cowboy before she decided to get a degree in drama at the University of California in Los Angeles. She was noticed by actor James Woods there and he secured a part for her in his film Diggstown. Graham then stopped taking classes to act full time and moved to Hollywood.
Her portrayal of Nadine in Drugstore Cowboy brought her notable attention, and she then appeared in the TV series Twin Peaks. She was given minor roles in the 1993 Six Degrees of Separation, Desert Winds in 1994 and Toughguy in 1995. She had a modeling contract with Emanuel Ungaro Liberte, and also starred in other films such as Swingers and Two Girls and a Guy. Her breakthrough role was that of Roller Girl in the 1997 drama Boogie Nights, which earned her several nominations. She then appeared in Scream 2 and Lost in Space. Heather Graham’s first starring role was in 1999’s Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me as Felicity Shagwell. Graham has also hosted Saturday Night Live once that year. She can also be seen in 2000’s Committed, as Mary Kelly in From Hell in 2001. Graham was also cast in Killing Me Softly, Anger Management and Hope Springs. She lent her voice to the videogame character Antonia Bayle in EverQuest II in 2004, before appearing on nine episodes of the sitcom Scrubs. She also played Pippa McGee in Cake as well as Angela in 2006’s drama Bobby. Graham also played herself in an episode of Sex and the City as well as starring in the ABC comedy-series Emily’s Reasons Why Not. The magazine Life has done a cover story on Heather Graham, referring to her as “TV’s sexiest star.”
