Jason Rosell or Heat to viewers of VH1 reality show I Love New York has been acting since he was 18. Born and raised in Queens, New York, his family moved to Spain when he was 10. Returning back to the US, he attended high school at Daytona Beach in Florida. He went on to study at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and graduate with a degree in public relations. During college, he started appearing in several student films and even on an episode on the Discovery Health Channel series Dr. G: Medical Examiner. Shortly after, he moved to Los Angeles to really pursue acting professionally.
Heat has several small roles under his belt, including the 2006 adventure film The Celestine Prophesy and the 2007 comedy Unemployed. He now wants to be a full-time actor and he also wants to try his hand at modeling. He counts working out, listening to music, cooking, and traveling as his hobbies.
Heat appeared as one of 20 contestants on VH1's reality series, I Love New York. This Bachelor-style dating show features Tiffany Pollard, better known as New York, in her quest to find true love. He was eliminated on its fourth episode. However, he made some interesting friendships inside the house, such as with 12 Pack. He was also the only contender to admit that he is in the show business. New York named him “Heat” because in her opinion, he was the hottest one in the house. His appearance in I Love New York, moreover, earned him a nomination for Favorite Altered Stated in the 2007 Fox Reality Awards.
Heat became known as one of the 25 contestants in the VH1 reality show I Love Money, which features returning contestants past VH1 reality shows such as Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. The 25 competed in physical and mental challenges en route to a grand prize of $250,000.
He was eliminated on episode 3, but returned once more on the second season. He lasted until episode 6 that time.
