Harry Lloyd studied at Eton College, during which time he made his acting debut, on the 1999 TV movie David Copperfield. He later studied at Oxford University, where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society.
Lloyd appeared in several British television shows, notably the BBC drama Robin Hood, where he appeared as Will Scarlett. He also appeared in two episodes of Doctor Who, and was considered as a replacement for David Tennant before the role was passed to Matt Smith. He made his professional stage debut in 2007, receiving rave reviews for his stint in Bash. He currently stars in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
