Biography

TV personality and cook Guy Fieri was born on January 22, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in California. As a child, he cooked his own meals because his family observed a diet consisting mainly of tofu. Soon he found himself studying abroad, as an exchange student in France. After working in several restaurants in high school, he attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graudated with a degree in Hospitality Management.

Guy Fieri has worked in Stouffer's and has opened the Italian restaurant called Johnny Garlic's with his business partner Steve Gruber. They later launched Tex Wasabi's in 2003. He is best known for winning season 2 of The Next Food Network Star, which led him to have his own show called Guy's Big Bite. In 2007, his second series called Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives premiered. Later, Guy Off the Hook was in full swing

He then took his time hosting a number of shows, like Ultimate Recipe Showdown and Minute to Win It. He has also appeared in series like The Price is Right and several more programs on the Food Network.
