Greg Ellis



English actor Greg Ellis was born on March 21, 1968 in Wigan, Lancashire, England. With intense flexibility in acting, his career has spanned the areas of theatre, film and television, and he has branched out into music and voiceover work as well. Gaining experience on stage, he has been seen on numerous West End productions. These include originating the role of Rusty in Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber’s New Starlight Express, directed by Trevor Nunn. He also worked on the original Miss Saigon, as well as the plays Out of the Blue and Bugsy Malone. Greg Ellis rose to fame playing the virus broker Michael Amador in the third season of the acclaimed Fox drama, 24. He also rose to fame for playing Lieutenant Grove in the Pirates of the Carribean movies, working alongside Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. His other film credits include roles in Mr. & Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Titanic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, as well as the autobiographical feature To End All Wars. Ellis is also renowned for his many starring, guest and recurring roles on television. He has been seen in The Riches, a critically acclaimed FX dramedy starring Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. Ellis’ credits include CSI: Las Vegas, The X Files, Bones, Reno 911, We’re With the Band with Alanis Morrisette, Star Trek: DS-9, The Division, and Even Stevens. As a singer/songwriter, Greg Ellis has performed for H.R.H Queen Elizabeth at Saint Paul's Cathedral, and on numerous album soundtracks. He later teamed up with ‘80s pop icon Nick Heyward to produce the album, Open Sesame Seed. Ellis soon joined the cast of the CW series Valentine, portraying the character Ari Valentine. He continued his extensive film career, being featured in other films like Foodfight and the spoof Meet the Spartans, and has voiced Nigel the ferret in Garfield 2. Ellis is also renowned for lending his voice to several animated characters, some of them in Scooby Doo, Grim & Evil, Teen Titans, Angry Beavers, The Fairly Odd Parents, Ben 10, and Invader Zim.
