America’s Best Dance Crew, G.O.P. has already established its own competition in 2004: the G.O.P. D’Connection. As the group showcases their styles, they continue to develop their unique combination of funk school breakdance, reggaeton and Latin flavors. Influenced heavily by Latin moves, the group maintains that their musical tastes vary from hip-hop and pop.
G.O.P. is composed of Pedro ‘Mr.P’ Aviles, Sherhan Rodriguez aka Meme, Michael Auiles aka AV, Daleth Valle aka Master Daleth, John Manuel de la Rosa aka B-boy Crash, and Luis A Perez aka Kano. Among the group’s favorite musicians are Tupac, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Usher and Missy Elliott, as well as Don Omar, Wisin y Yandel and Daddy Yankee.
Describing themselves as “the most complete crew,” G.O.P. has been listed as one of the crews competing for the title of America’s Best Dance Crew. Joining eight other teams, the group is all set to show off their amazing and intricate moves in front of the whole country. With host Mario Lopez and backstage correspondent Layla Kayleigh, the crews will have to impress judges JC Chasez, Lil Mama and choreographer Shane Sparks. Encountering challenges week after week, each team battles for the $100,000 cash prize, but more for the pride of being the nation’s best.
