Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Gina Bellman established her acting career in the United Kingdom, appearing in television shows as early as the 1980s. After her screen debut in an episode of Into the Labyrinth in 1982, she appeared in shows such as Grange Hill and Blackeyes, which was her first starring role. She later starred in films such as Horse Opera and Paranoid.
In 2000, Bellman settled into one of her more recognizable roles, as the possessive and seemingly desperate Jane in the British comedy Coupling.
