George Sheehy Stults was born on August 16, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, he became interested in acting and wrestling. While considering a career as a soldier in the Navy, he was approached by a commercial agent, and he ended up working as a model.
Stults eventually moved on to acting, first playing guest roles in television shows such as Will & Grace, Friends and Maybe It’s Me. He then tried to audition for a role in the drama series 7th Heaven, planning to follow the footsteps of his younger brother Geoff, who already had a recurring role in the series. Originally aiming for a guest role—as a man who forces people to drink—he was eventually cast as Ben Kinkirk’s (Geoff Stults) older brother, Kevin. When the series ended, he appeared in the TV movie Hydra. He went on to obtain film roles, starring in Super Capers and Necrosis.
- He initially went to college to wrestle and had plans on joining the Navy as an officer. However, he was discovered and signed as an actor.
- For "7th Heaven" he auditioned for the role of Simon, a High School senior who pressures people to drink. A week later they asked him to play the part of Ben's older brother Kevin. Ben was already being played by George's real life brother Geoff Stults.
(On the fame game) "Nothing has changed [since appearing on 7th Heaven] whatsoever. My brother and I still live in the same crappy apartment and it's wonderful. We are too lazy to move. We do exactly the same stuff and lead the same lifestyle we did before we got into acting."
(On playing Mr. Nice Guy) "Kevin Kinkirk will never have a dark side. I mean, everybody freaked out when he had two sips of champagne. Nope. I don't think you'll ever see him losing it on 7th Heaven."
