Actor Gene Farber was born on November 14, 1978 in Minsk, Belarus. He and his family moved to the United States when he was 11 years old; he fell in love with acting during his stint at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York City. There, he graduated with the First Level Prize for excellence in the arts, an honor bestowed by the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts. After graduating from the Boston University’s acting BFA program, he became a regular in the Broadway scene, and also appeared in stage productions held in Boston and Baltimore.
Farber made his screen debut in 2004, when he held a guest role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also held guest roles in Law & Order, All My Children and Guiding Light, and also starred in the Russian-American miniseries Spy Games. Having since moved to Los Angeles, he has appeared in Numb3rs and The Mentalist, and is set to star in the Fox television special Virtuality.
