Gabrielle Anwar Biography:
Born on February 4, 1970 in Laleham, Middlesex, England, Gabrielle Anwar attended a dance and drama school in London. She burst into the small screen with a role in the British miniseries, Hideaway, and from there went on to appear in her first feature film, Manifesto. Her other credits in British television include First Born, Summer’s Lease, Press Gang and The Mysteries of the Dark Jungle. Her relationship with American actor, Craig Scheffer, led her and Scheffer to star in the American films In Pursuit of Honor, The Grave, Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal, Flying Virus, Save it for Later and Lost Long Son. Other American films for which she has been credited are If Looks Could Kill- Teen Agent, Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, Scent of a Woman, Body Snatchers, For Love or Money and The Three Musketeers. Some time before she was cast in the Showtime miniseries, The Tudors, Anwar made an appearance in the television series, John Doe.
Princess Margaret Tudor is played by Grabrielle Anwar in the miniseries, The Tudors. The older sister of King Henry the VIII, Princess Margaret’s marriage is orchestrated in order to help her brother carry out his political aspirations.
