Erin Andrews

Born on May 4, 1978 in Lewiston, Maine, Erin Andrews is a very popular ESPN sportscaster and internet sensation, voted America’s Sexiest Sportscaster by Playboy Magazine in 2007 and 2008. The daughter of Steve and Paula Andrews, she moved to Tampa, Florida from Maine as a young girl when her Emmy-winning dad started working as an investigative journalist for a television network. She attended Bloomingdale High School and eventually finished telecommunications from the University of Florida. In college, she was also a member of the Gator basketball dance team from 1997 to 2000. She is one of the contestants on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars. Andrews started as a freelance reporter from 2000 to 2001 with FSN Florida, right before serving as a Tampa Bay Lighting reporter for the Sunshine Network. She then moved up to studio host for Turner Sports from 2002 to 2004, when she covered the Atlanta Braves and college football for TBS and Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks for Turner South. In May, 2004, Andrews joined ESPN as a reporter for the network’s National Hockey League coverage, working as a sidelines reporter for the network’s college football Saturday telecast. In 2005, she was also sideline reporting for Major League Baseball, in addition to Great Outdoor Games and the College World Series. Andrews became embroiled in a July, 2009 internet incident when a video posted on the site NSFW POA featured a “popular sports personality” curling her hair naked while squatting in front of the mirror. She confirmed via her PR that she was the woman on the video and it was filmed without her knowledge. She appeared on Oprah two months after the vid first surfaced and called it “a nightmare.”
