Born on February 23, 1983 in London, England, Emily Blunt is a Golden Globe Award-winning actress perhaps best known for her role in the Oscar-nominated The Devil Wears Prada with Meryll Streep and Anne Hathaway. She also won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for the BBC TV film Gideon’s Daughter in 2007. The daughter of a barrister and a teacher, Blunt moved to Hurtwood House, a college known for its performing arts program, where she attracted an agent. She now lives in London and Vancouver, where she shares a home with boyfriend, singer Michael Buble. The two met at the backstage of an Australian television awards in Melbourne in 2005.
Emily Blunt made her theater debut in a play commissioned by the National Theater at the 2000 Edinburgh Festival called Bliss. This time, she was still an A-level student. She later co-starred with Susan Sarandon in the independent drama Irresistible. Meanwhile, in Charlie Wilson’s War, Blunt appeared in a steamy love scene with Tom Hanks. She was dressed only in an open shirt and her white brassier and lace-edged panties showed. In 2008, she was cast in the horror remake of The Wolf Man, as Gwen Conliffe, the love interest of the man bitten by the werewolf, a character played by Benicio del Toro.
