American actress and former model Elena Goode was born on August 22, 1982 in New York City. Of Puerto Rican descent, she attended and eventually graduated from the LaGuardian High School of Performing Arts. During her stay there, she appeared in several school plays. She then pursued a modeling career, appearing in several fashion spreads, one of which was by New York fashion photographer Max DiBiaggio.
Goode made her screen debut in 2003, when she played a bit role in the television movie Undefeated. In 2006, she joined the cast of the daytime drama As the World Turns, where she played the role of Jade Taylor. She was introduced as the long-lost Snyder, being the daughter of Rose D’Angelo (Martha Byrne). Later, her character evolved as a villainous vixen, willing to use her beauty for her own interests. Her run on the show revolved around her attempts to break the marriage of Will Munson (Jesse Soffer) and Gwen Norbeck (Jennifer Landon). Goode left the show in 2007, unhappy with the fact that her character was not developed beyond being obsessed with destroying Gwen and Will’s relationship.
