The Alabama-based Dynamic Edition is known for holding the title of Clogging Champions of America, for seven years in a row. Their success isn’t enough for them though, as they’ve aspired to escape their small town circle for something more. Choreographer Brandon Norris stepped up to make this dream a reality, opening his own studio named Dynamic Dance and organizing three competitive teams. After Brandon chose the best from each, Dynamic Edition was born.
Transcending the barriers of “old-timey” clogging, Dynamic Edition has decided to infuse their style with hip-hop and several types of music. These range from Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and AC/DC. This 5-person group is composed of Brandon Norris, who has been seen on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, Katlin Allison, Beth Petrunich, Cara Petrunich, and Melissa Shores.
As their confidence shines through, Dynamic Edition has been listed as one of the crews competing for the title of America’s Best Dance Crew. Joining eight other teams, the group is all set to show off their amazing and intricate moves in front of the whole country. With host Mario Lopez and backstage correspondent Layla Kayleigh, the crews will have to impress judges JC Chasez, Lil Mama and choreographer Shane Sparks. Encountering challenges week after week, each team battles for the $100,000 cash prize, but more for the pride of being the nation’s best.
