Born October 15, 1978 in Durango, Colorado, Devon Gummershall is an actor and director best known for his role on the cult television classic My So-Called Life. The son of artist Gregory Gummersall, he started acting when he turned 10, bagging his first major performance as a guest star on the television series Dream On, an adult situation comedy about Martin Tupper which ran for six seasons. Meanwhile, he also bagged minor roles on several shows and movies such as My Girl 2 in 1994.
In 1994, Gummersall would land what would be his best known role as Brian Krakow, the geek in the show who lacks emotional intelligence and socially awkward and self-righteous, in My So-Called Life. Unfortunately, the show as canceled after just one season. However, he was nominated for his role for a Young Artist Award. He lost, but he won one as an ensemble with his fellow cast members. The role opened doors for Gummersall, with the role as a sexually confused teenager in the film It’s My Part in 1996, followed by the role of Zach during the first season of Felicity. In 2000, he became part of the series The Fugitive. His other roles include Sean de Luca in the show Roswell, alongside independent films. He also appeared in the sixth season of 24. Meanwhile, he played Barry White in the Lifetime television series State of Mind.
