Denise Martin appears as a contestant on the 15th season of the hit CBS reality television series, Survivor: China. She was born on May 5, 1967 in Revere, Massachusetts, though she presently lives in Douglas, MA with her husband and three daughters. She studied at Revere High School and graduated with the class of 1985, before going on to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and the Wentworth Institute of Technology. She has received a certificate in Technical School Telecommunication Electronics from the latter. She currently works as a lunch lady for grade school students, ranging from fourth to seventh grade.
Aside from just preparing and serving food, her job also entails cleaning the kitchen, and is done five times a week. She has also had a number of past occupations, among them central office technician for a phone company, short-order cook, and a video game route along eight different colleges. She would travel regularly to repair video game arcade cabinets and juke boxes for these various institutions. Apart from her work, she is also a second degree black belt in American Kenpo karate, and trains with the Revere Karate Academy. She has even recently opened her own training dojo, the Douglas Karate Club.
