Biography

Born on July 16, 1969 in the Bronx, New York, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell is an actor best known for his stint on The John Larroquette Show for three years during the early 1990s and as Eli Goggins on Ed from 2002 to 2004. The son of a secretary and a truck/bus driver, he started off with a career in hop-hop during the 1980s, which paved the way for his acting career. His acting credits include House Party and its sequel, Sgt. Bilko, Galaxy Quest, 10 Things I Hate About You, and the television sitcom Veronica’s Closet. In 2001, Mitchell encountered a motorcycle accident that paralyzed him from the waist down. Shortly, he was cast on Ed as a bowling alley manager who was also paralyzed after an accident. The accident prompted him to start the Daryl Mitchell Foundation to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries. In 2009, he was cast in the Fox sitcom Brothers as one of the two estranged brothers, opposite former NY Giants player Michael Strahan.
