Biography

Comedian, radio and TV personality and former child actor Dante Daniel Bonaduce was born on August 13, 1959 in Broomall, Pennsylvania. He is the son of writers Joseph and Betty Bonaduce.

At age 10, Danny Bonaduce landed the role of Danny Partridge on the Golden Globe-nominated TV series The Partridge Family. His other notable TV appearances were on shows CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Less Than Perfect, That 70’s Show, Married with Children, Diagnosis Murder and Eight is Enough among many others. Bonaduce was also part of made-for-TV movies Call Holme and Murder on Flight 502.

On the big screen, Danny Bonaduce played roles in H.O.T.S., Corvette Summer, Baker’s Hawk and The Jerk Theory to name a few. In 1985, he was stunt coordinator for the horror/thriller film Deadly Intruder, in which he was also cast as John.

Bonaduce also did voice works for Dr. Dolittle 3, Lil’ Pimp, Firedog and Charlotte’s Web.

Bonaduce was married to Gretchen Bonaduce in 1990 and to Setsuko Hattori in 1985.

In 2000, he was seen in a TV commercial for Ball Park Hot dogs. He was also featured in magazines TV Guide, Esquire and Us. His biography, entitled Random Acts of Badness: My Story, was also published by Hyperion Books in 2001.

A person who had survived many challenges in his life, Bonaduce was portrayed on The David Cassidy Story and Come On, Get Happy: The Partridge Family Story.

Danny Bonaduce is a host on VH1’s reality TV talent search I Know My Kid’s a Star, wherein children from ages 8 to13 and their parents compete against each other to become the next child star and the stage parent least likely to corrupt their child's fame, respectively. There is also a cash prize of $50,000. All pairs live together in one house and are given weekly challenges, and one team is eliminated at every end of the week.
