Countess Danielle Vaughn appears as one of the contestants in the MTV reality television competition series Celebrity Rap Superstar. Her rapper mentor on the show is
Warren G . She is an American singer and television actress who was born on August 8, 1978 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She began singing when she was three years old, while she was attending church services. At the age of nine, she won as both the junior vocalist champion and the overall junior champion of the Star Search competition. Vaughn has stated that her musical influences include Whitney Houston, Dinah Washington, and Mahalia Jackson, and that she listened to R&B, jazz and blues, and gospel music.
Apart from singing, she also pursued a career in acting. She is well-known for playing the role of Kim Parker in the television sitcom Moesha, along with its spin-off The Parkers. Other series she has worked on include Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, Thea, and Roc. She has also appeared in a number of television specials, such as the Orange Bowl Parade, the Easter Seals Telethon, and the Lou Rawls Parade of Stars. Her first album titled Countess featured a mix of different song types, among them urban ballads and dance music. She has also been a participant of Celebrity Fit Club, and has since appeared in the series Let's Stay Together.
