Born on september 29 , 1997 in Gardner MA., Christopher Gorham has appeared in a number of science fiction TV series, ranging from a starring role in Odyssey 5 to a lead role in Jake 2.0. Already interested in acting and the industry in general, he started performing in plays from as early as fourth grade. He started his show business career working as an intern for Baywatch in 1989; at around the same time, he won Young Male Talent of the Year honors at the annual International Modeling Talent Association convention in New York. He eventually graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles, with a degree in film and theater arts.
Gorham made his television debut in 1997, when he played a guest role in the action series Spy Game. He made his film debut that same year, as an extra on the independent film Shopping for Fangs. Gorham had a recurring guest role on Party of Five, which led him to more regular television roles, the first being as smart but “unpopular” student Harrison John on the teen series Popular where he met his future wife, co-star Anel Lopez-Gorham with whom he has three young children. He had lead roles in two science fiction series: Odyssey 5, where he played computer whiz Neil Taggart, and Jake 2.0, where he played the title character, nanobot-enhanced Jake Foley.
Gorham also took on other television roles. He played new doctor Miles McCabe on the medical drama Medical Investigation; his character constantly tried to prove his worth against his colleagues, led by Neal McDonough and Kelli Williams. He also played the lead character, marriage counselor Ben Barnes, in the short-lived comedy Out of Practice. More recently, he played the role of Henry Grubstick in the television series Ugly Betty. His character, an accountant, is the love interest for lead Betty Suarez (America Ferrera). He left the show after two seasons. In 2009, Christopher Gorham was cast as Henry Dunn on Harper’s Island, a CBS series about a group of family and friends who travel for a destination wedding to an island famous for a streak of unsolved murders.
