Christian Kane participated in wrestling and football while growing up, but decided to pursue acting while studying art history at the University of Oklahoma. He moved to Los Angeles and began auditioning, later getting a lead role in the MGM television series Fame L.A.
Kane got his first major break when he took a recurring role in the Joss Whedon series Angel, as the double-sided lawyer Lindsay MacDonald. He later starred in films such as Just Married, Life or Something Like It, Friday Night Lights and Taxi. After a stint in the CBS series Close to Home, he joined the cast of TNT's Leverage.
Kane is also an active musician; he currently fronts the rock band Kane, alongside friend and lead guitarist Steve Carlson. The band released their debut album in 2000, and made their label debut with the single "The House Rules" ten years later.
