Biography

American actor and singer/songwriter Christian Kane was born on June 27, 1974 in Dallas, Texas. His family later moved around the South and Midwest, and soon settled in Norman, Oklahoma. He studied art history at the University of Oklahoma, but was bitten by the acting bug. This led him to travel to Los Angeles before he finished his degree. He started out in the mailroom of a talent agency, and soon landed a recurring role on the series Fame L.A. from 1997 to 1998.

After getting a small part in the film Edtv, Christian Kane made his breakthrough in the industry. He was cast as Wick Lobo in the 1999 series Rescue 77. Though he played a recurring character on the show, Kane was able to take on numerous other projects. In 2000, he was seen on The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy, and the TV movie Love Song. This was followed by portraying Peter Prentiss on the romance Just Married, featuring Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy. Kane was next seen on an episode of Las Vegas, the 2004 film Taxi, the sport drama Friday Night Lights, and the TV miniseries Into the West. He later joined the cast of Close to Home, playing Jack Chase until 2006. His next projects were Hide, Four Sheets to the Wind, and the 2008 series Leverage.
