Thirty-two-year-old comedian Chris Fairbanks started his career in stand-up comedy in 1998, when he left Montana to join the comedy circuit in Texas. He has appeared in multiple comedy festivals, such as the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, as part of its New Faces showcase. In 2003, he won the Funniest Person in Austin contest.
He has also appeared in films, the first being 2002’s Six in Austin: Wrecked. He also appeared in the films Dance Club, Soap S!$#!# and …Could Be Something There. He has also done voice work for the 2005 animated film Valiant. Fairbanks has also made several unaired pilots for MTV, and has appeared in an episode of the MTV reality contest The 70s House. His other television appearances include stints in Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, and a guest appearance on the late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Fairbanks is currently a correspondent for action sports channel Fuel TV, as well as a regular in the Comedy Central reality show Reality Bites Back. Aside from touring as a stand-up comic, Fairbanks also earns his living as an artist, having done posters for films such as Dance Club and Don’t Eat the Baby: Adventures at Post-Katrina Mardi Gras, animations for the 2001 film Ladyporn, as well as storyboards. He also creates illustrations for Thrasher magazine.
