Carla Gallo first shot into the scene when she made her film debut in the seminal indie film Spanking the Monkey, in 1994. Her later film efforts focused on comedies such as Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Funny People. She also had a supporting role in the 2005 action flick Mission: Impossible III.
Gallo is perhaps best known for her work on television. She was a regular in the Fox comedy Undeclared and the HBO series Carnivale. She later held recurring roles in Californication, Bones and more recently, TNT's Men of a Certain Age.
