American actor Bryce Johnson discovered his love of acting while attending classes at a local community college in Sioux City, Iowa. At 19, he headed for Hollywood to pursue his dreams of being in the entertainment industry.
Initially, it was difficult for Johnson to land roles since he was just starting his career. While waiting for his big break, he enrolled at Pasadena's American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and even worked several odd jobs.
In 1999, Johnson was cast on The WB series Popular as popular high school jock Josh Ford, one of his most notable roles thus far. Shortly after, he joined MTV's Undressed but both shows were eventually canceled. He was able to remain active on the TV circuit, however, by making minor appearances on Gilmore Girls and Dawson’s Creek, as well as on movies like Chasing Papi and Bring It On Again. He was also on the independent film Puzzled, released in 2001, in addition to two films screened at the Sundance Film Festival. These were Home of Phobia and Harry + Max. After a role on Freshman Orientation, he played the character Jake Morgan on Still Life. He soon made appearances on What I Like About You, Nip/Tuck, and House M. D.. He had another run on Sundance with a role on Sleeping Dogs Lie, later getting guest roles on The Mentalist and Drop Dead Diva. In 2010, he was cast as Drew Thatcher on the FOX series Lonestar and on Pretty Little Liars as Officer Darren Wilden. He then appeared on MTV’s series Death Valley.
