From Portland, Oregon comes designer Bryce Black, who began his passion for fashion design as a child. He created clothes for his sister’s Barbie dolls using countless materials, from toilet paper to socks. He was educated at The Art Institute of Portland, receiving his degree in Apparel Design in 2011. He has been praised for his work, as he has won an internship from Studio SKB Designer Launch. He also became a finalist for The Humane Society's and The Art Institute's Cool vs. Cruel 2009 fashion design contest. Soon, he found himself auditioning for Project Runway and became a contestant in season 9 as one of 20 designers hoping to make it big in the industry.
