Biography

Born on May 17, 1961, American actor Bruce Thomas is known for his portrayal of the character Batman in a series of commercials for the OnStar service of General Motors. This aired from 2001 to 2002, and he continued to play the character for the pilot episode of The WB’s series, Birds of Prey. Despite his fame there, he has appeared on a variety of shows and films as well.

Bruce Thomas began his entertainment career with a small role in Army of Darkness in 1992. He later played Max in Something Else, Dr. Jonathan Kinder in the soap opera All My Children, and Mike Lyons on the series Ellen. After appearing on The John Larroquette Show and Wings, he got a part on the hit show Beverly Hills 90210. He soon obtained a role in Providence, and was cast on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. In 1999, he landed the part of Rocky Bush on Nash Bridges before portraying Dr. Joshua Locke on the soap Port Charles. In 2000, he was cast on the film Thirteen Days. A year later, Thomas was seen on Diagnosis Murder, and rose to fame playing the UPS guy on the romantic comedy Legally Blonde and its sequel, Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blonde. After a role in Just Deserts, Bruce Thomas played a Reptilian Soldier on three episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. He next worked on two television movies, which were Life on Liberty Street and A Boyfriend for Christmas.

Thomas soon appeared on E-Ring, Escape, and on the Showtime series Weeds as the father of the deaf girl, Megan. In 2007, he starred on the film Babysitter Wanted, and was subsequently seen on Closing Escrow. That year, he got the part of Stephen Trager on the ABC Family series Kyle XY. There, he plays the husband of Nicole and the father of their children, Lori and Josh. Together, the family is to uncover the mystery behind their young John Doe, Kyle.

While filming Kyle XY, Bruce Thomas landed the part of JP Gratton in Bones.
