Biography

Born Bridgette Leann Wilson on September 25, 1973 in Gold Beach, Oregon, Bridgette Wilson is a former teen beauty queen turned actress turned supermodel.  She is best known for a string of Hollywood movies, plus the role of Ginger in the series Saved by the Bell, and her marriage to tennis great Pete Sampras.  Her sister, Tracy Wilson, is also an actress, and as a child, she taught herself to play the piano.  In 1990, she won Miss Teen USA and upped and moved to Los Angeles the next year to take acting classes.

After Saved by the Bell, Wilson landed in more roles, such as in the film Last Action Hero with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Madison with Adam Sandler, Mortal Kombat, I Know What You Did Last Summer, House on Haunted Hill, and The Wedding Planner.  It was reported that she was a replacement to Cameron Diaz when the latter dropped out of the role of Sonya in Mortal Kombat.  Moreover, she insisted on doing her stunts in Last Action Hero in 1993 but most of her better footage were left on the cutting room-floor.

Bridgette Wilson has also dabbled in theater, appearing on an off- Broadway production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  As a singer, she was featured on Tommy Shane Steiner’s debut album.  She has made two CD’s, namely Gimme a Kiss and I Only Want to Be With You, which were both huge hits in Japan.  She had since been an in-demand singer in the Asian nation.  She was a one-time judge on the Miss Universe competition in 2006 in Biloxi, Mississippi, becoming only the second representative from Oregon to win the crown.

Bridgette Wilson married multiple grand-slam champion Pete Sampras on September 30, 2000, and the two have two sons.  Other than acting, she is also an active supporter of MADD, American Oceans Campaign and several organization battling AIDS.
