American actor and comedian Brian Posehn was born on July 6, 1966 in Sacramento, California. He has had quite a prominent career in the entertainment industry, and is best known for his roles in NBC’s Just Shoot Me!, on HBO’s Mr. Show with Bob and David, and on Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program. He began his career during the early 1990s, when he appeared on episodes of Empty Nest, Friends, Party Girl, Veronica’s Closet and Seinfeld.
On film, Brian Posehn appeared on the 2003 comedy film, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. He has also been seen in the film Grind, and had a supporting role in Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic. In 2007, he landed a part in the superhero film, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. There, he played a priest who marries the two main characters, Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Also that year, he was cast as the voice of Glen Maverick on the animated feature Surf’s Up. He later appeared as himself in Super High Me, which was a do!$#!#entary starring the marijuana comedian Doug Benson. Another do!$#!#entary he appeared in was Nerdcore Rising in 2008, which was about MC Frontalot.
Brian Posehn also has a notable career on the small screen. He played the voice of Jim on Mission Hill, and Del Swanson on MTV’s 3 South. Other credits of his include Tom Goes to the Mayor, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the do!$#!#entary series The Comedians of Comedy. In 2007, Posehn appeared on an episode of the improv series Thank God You’re Here. On The Sarah Silverman Program, Brian Posehn plays a fictionalized version of himself. He is Sarah's gay neighbor and friend who is dating Steve. He takes karate lessons and attended Valley Village High School with Sarah and her sister Laura.
In 2008, he expanded his roles and appeared on Californication, and the film Sex Drive. He also played Dethklok's second manager in the Metalocalypse episode “Dethsources.”
