Eleven-year-old Brett hails from Edina, Minnesota, and believes that laws should be implemented to protect children in divorce situations. He also believes that health care should be available for all, and that plastics should not be used as it destroys the environment. Brett considers Bill Gates to be a "real" person, and looks up to John F. Kennedy, who he believes in the best U.S. President. A fan of Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler, Brett enjoys reading Calvin and Hobbes comics and attending gym class.
Brett is among 40 kids who are tasked to build their own working society in CBS' Kid Nation, which is set in Bonanza City, New Mexico. In the span of forty days, the children aged 8 to 15 must be able to confront adult issues while dealing with their personal childhood issues. Each episode ends with a town meeting where a child would be rewarded with a gold star worth $20,000.
