Born in San Francisco, California, Brandy Kuentzel is an attorney who graduated valedictorian from Service High School. She then graduated from UCLA in 2002, with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. Four years later, she received her juris doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School. Afterwards she worked at the prestigious law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

In 2010, she was chosen as a contender in the reality competition The Apprentice. She was complimented for her work there, which eventually led to her victory. She is also the founder of Sweet Ride, a mobile cupcake business operating in San Francisco.
