Billie Paul Piper was born on September 1982 in Swindon, England. Initially, she appeared on a television commercial promoting the pop magazine Smash Hits. She started her career in the limelight as a pop singer, landing a record deal at the age of fifteen. After several hit singles, she decided to pursue acting. She took up some acting lessons and subsequently earned roles in series such as The Canterbury Tales and Bella and the Boys. In addition, she was included in films such as The Calcium Kid, Things to Do Before You're Thirty and Spirit Trap.

Rose Tyler is played by Billie Piper on the science fiction series Doctor Who. She is a shop assistant from London who was previously the companion of the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. She appears to be sharp, clever and often inquisitive. In addition, she is the former girlfriend of Mickey Smith and now lives in the parallel world with the meta-crisis Doctor (Human Doctor), her mum Jackie, her dad Pete and her brother Tony .
