American child actress Billi Bruno was born Sarah Bruno on July 20, 1997 in Los Angeles, California. Her interest in acting began when she started tailing around her sisters’ auditions. She often memorized their lines before they could, and eventually begged her parents if she can audition by herself. That one audition led to a role in the television comedy According to Jim.
Bruno’s character in the long-running series is Gracie, the second daughter of Jim (Jim Belushi) and Cheryl (Courtney Thorne-Smith). She’s starred in the show since 2001, and juggles her time between shoots and her own interests. She loves gymnastics and swimming, and can also ride a horse. She also clearly loves her role in the sitcom: when asked about what she wants to be when she grows up, her answer is simple: “I’m going to be on According to Jim forever.” She’s also been nominated for four Young Artist Awards for her role.
She has since branched out on other acting outlets. When not working on the comedy, she participates in children’s theater. She has also starred in the music video for “Celebrity,” sung by country singer Brad Paisley, the real-life husband of her co-star (and series aunt) Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
She enjoys swimming, riding her scooter, planting flowers, drawing, coloring, taking gymnastics, diving, horseriding, and using her imagination.
