Art enthusiast Bill Powers is known for being a judge in the Bravo reality series Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. He is Purple Fashion magazine's editor-at-large, and co-owns Half Gallery in New York. He started out as editor of Blackbook magazine and later branched out to writing art columns for other publications. These include Vanity Fair, The New York Times and Paper. He has also published several art books for well-known artists and even wrote his own novel. The satire "Tall Island" was published in 2004 and has been applauded by the LA Times and Harper's Bazaar. Of course, Powers is also famous for his art collection and his position on the board of the non-profit organization RxArt, which allows artworks to be displayed in hospitals.
