Ben Richards was born March 27th, 1972 in West Sussex, England. Richards grew up in the Bognor Regis area where his sister, Lisa, still runs a dance and fitness school. He was trained in drama at Laine Theater Arts in Epsom and worked on a battery farm before formally pursuing acting. He currently resides with his wife, Helen, in South East London. Aside from acting, Richards is a multitalented artist with an impressive dance and theater repertoire. He also released his own single entitled `On My Own’ in July of 2003. Richards was Bruno Milligan on Footballers’ Wives and its spinoff, Footballers’ Wives: Extra Time from 2005-2006. He also had a lengthy run as Justin Fuller on Holby City from 2001-2006.
Bruno Milligan, played on Footballers’ Wives by Ben Richards, is the bigamous husband of first wife, Joy Salter and second spouse, Lucy. Bruno is nearing the end of his career as a top footballer and Earls Park captain. He is tormented by the inevitable termination of his reign and is equally distraught over the prospect of losing Lucy now that she has uncovered his secret marriage to Joy. While overjoyed at Lucy’s pregnancy and the offer to manage Earls Park, Bruno lives in constant fear of Lucy’s departure.
