Biography

Born on May 12, 1962 in Lakeland, Florida, April Grace is an actress perhaps best known for her role as Ms. Klugh on the ABC series Lost and the news reporter character in the film I Am Legend. A prolific stage actress, Grace bagged a recurring role on Star Trek: The Next Generation in the early 1990s as the transporter chief. After numerous stage and television credits, she played the role of a television reporter determined to become a household name in ABC’s The Beast. Her other screen credits include The X-Files, The O.C., Joan of Arcadia, Grey’s Anatomy, and the films Bean: The Movie, Finding Forrester, Artificial Intelligence: AI, Constantine, and Magnolia, for which she earned a SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Theatrical Motion Picture alongside her co-stars in 1999. Ten years later in 2009, she was cast on the NBC sci-fi series Day One, which follows a group of apartment residents who survived an unknown global catastrophe. She plays a rebellious, sassy teenager.
