Actress Annie Wersching was born on March 28, 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri. While attending high school, she competed in numerous Irish dance tilts, and was at one point a member of the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. This interest eventually led her to pursue a degree in musical theatre from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.
She began her acting career in 2002, making her debut through a minor guest role in the sci-fi series Enterprise. Most of her early roles were in television, with guest roles in Frasier, Charmed, Cold Case, Boston Legal and Supernatural. She also appeared in a handful of films, first through a bit role in the 2003 comedy Bruce Almighty. In 2007, she became a recurring player in the daytime drama All My Children, appearing as television producer Amelia Joffe. She left the show in November of that year.
More recently, Wersching took a role in the seventh season of the acclaimed Fox series 24. She joined the show as Renne Walker, an FBI agent who maintains a somewhat adversarial relationship with the show’s lead, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland).
