From Whitefish Bay, WI comes Anna Lynnett. This printmaker and designer has a fondness for Marc Jacobs, Lanvin and Band of Outsiders. Growing up, she enjoyed drawing often, thus developing her skills in fashion. She didn’t exactly have any formal training in design, and all her talents are self-taught. Still, she’s already landed jobs with her ambitions.
Some of the professions that Anna Lynnett has gone through include printmaker at Gemini G.E.L., hostess at JAR restaurant, freelance seamstress. She’s mostly inspired by what she sees during her travels, looking deep into the details of a country’s culture to learn more about it.
The self-professed idealist eventually agreed to the suggestion of a friend to audition for a reality competition that would showcase her designs. This led Anna Lynnett to land a spot as a contestant on the seventh season of Project Runway, set in New York. She became known as one of the 16 designers vying for the top prize and the chance to launch their careers in the fashion industry. She was eliminated in the fifth episode of the show, when the designers were asked to create an outfit for Marie Claire magazine.
