Aneesa Ferreira was featured as a member of the cast in the eleventh season of the MTV reality television series The Real World, which was set in Chicago. She was born on September 11, 1981, and is the daughter of an interracial marriage between her West-Indian father and her Jewish-American mother. She is openly gay and espouses liberal views, and does not mind at all walking around in the nude. Ferreira was even open to the idea of showering together with a male roommate, and her frank honesty was often a source of consternation for her more conservative and sheltered fellow cast member Tonya Cooley.
While she has been described as having a sense of humor and a caring personality, Ferreira also sports a quick temper. Throughout their stint on the show, she’s often at odds with Cooley and with her own mother during phone calls, simply because her mother has not been as accepting of her sexual orientation as the other people in her life have. Ferreira briefly becomes involved with a woman named Veronica, but it does not become very strong due to Veronica’s issues with an ex. Ferreira then turns to Danielle for romance, in spite of her overbearing behavior.
