Canadian-born actress Amy Ciupak Lalonde was born on July 26, 1976 in Pelham, Ontario. She studied at Queen’s University in Kingston, and holds a degree in both drama and history. Before embarking on her professional acting career, she became a high school teacher at Notre Dame College School in Welland, Ontario, as well as in New Zealand.
Amy Lalonde is best known for her many appearances on the television channel known as Scream, but she has been seen on numerous shows. In 2004, she became a guest on an episode of the series Mutant X, where she got the role of Britney Zadora. Also that year, she booked a small part on the show Kevin Hill. In 2005, she played the character Jennifer in the made-for-TV movie Murder in the Hamptons. This was followed by more guest roles, such as those in Lovebites and Battlestar Galactica. Her next projects included several bit parts on TV films, such as Earthstorm and The Dark Room. Eventually, Lalonde became known for her first two feature films: Heartstopper and the horror flick 5ive Girls. Her next appearances were in episodes of 72 Hours: True Crime, Jeff Ltd., and the 2007 television movie The Dark Room. Lalonde then portrayed the character Tracy Thurman on the thriller Diary of the Dead, before working on the ABC Family-Disney movie Nature of the Beast. She then booked a role on the Canadian TV series Sophie, playing the character Melissa Bryant. In 2008, Lalonde was given a role in CBS’ Victor: The Victor Davis Story, and on The Two Mr. Kissels. She later signed on to play Rebecca McGregor in the series Wild Roses.
Lalonde has also gained attention for her work on national commercials. She was in Molson’s “It Starts Here” ad campaign, as well as in ads for Kit Kat, Special K Cereal and Leon’s.
