Born on July 30, 1985 as Aml Eysan Ameen, the English actor has been known for the passion he has for his craft. At a young age, he already participated in West End shows like Oliver! and Jolson. He studied acting at the Barbara Speake stage school in London, leading him to more roles as a child. When he was just 7 years old, he performed alongside Michael Jackson at the 1996 BRIT Awards.
Years later, Aml Ameen became known for several more television roles. He appeared as Simon on a 2003 episode of EastEnders, following it up with his first film role. He played Terry on Bella and the Boys, and was later cast as Bradley Norris on the BBC series Holby City. In 2006, he took on the lead role on the film Kidulthood and continued to book more significant roles.
The next year, he rose to fame as the headstrong PC Lewis Hardy on ITV's The Bill. Later, Ameen was seen on the BBC Three teen drama Dis/Connected and was next featured on Channel 4's film called Fallout. He was acclaimed for his performance and was next given a role on Silent Witness. In 2009, he performed at Tricycle Theatre and was later cast in David E. Kelley's legal drama Harry's Law, airing on NBC in 2010. Since then he has branched out to Hollywood, completing a role in George Lucas' Red Tails.
Aside from appearing on film and television, however, Aml Ameen decided to set up the drama school known as A.S.A., which stood for Actors Student Alliance. Through it, he has produced a short film and a theatre showcase, even expanding it into a management company.
