From California hails Amber Ojeda, a jazz and new soul songwriter who writes through personal experience. She might not play any instruments, but she lets her unique voice carry over to the audience. This fan of Cee Lo Green and Esthero is proud of the lyrics she creates, which is what she's betting on to make it big in the industry.
Hoping to bring her own insight to the stage, Amber Ojeda decided to become a contestant on Bravo's reality competition Platinum Hit. She is one of 12 other songwriters who are hoping to make it big in the music industry. Each episode challenges the contestants as they write and perform lyrics from a variety of genres, from rock music to ballads. The winner will receive a cash prize of $100,000, a publishing deal with songwriting collective The Writing Camp, and a recording deal with RCA/Jive label. Judging the contestants are Kara DioGuardi and Jewel, along with a number of guest judges.
