Amber Brkich Biography:

Born on August 11, 1978 in Beaver, Pennsylvania, Amber Brkich is a graduate of Beaver Area High School and Westminster College, where she majored in public relations and minored in speech communications. After she appeared on Survivor: The Australian Outback and Survivor: All-Stars, where she met her husband, Rob Mariano , Brkich graced the cover of Stuff Magazine and starred in several commercials for Adelphia Cable, Rite Aid Drugstores and Mountaineer Racetrack. In addition, Mariano and Brkich competed on another popular reality competition, The Amazing Race , and in its 11th incarnation, The Amazing Race: All-Stars.

Brkich was part of Survivor: All-Stars because of her memorable performance in Survivor: The Australian Outback, where she was allied with Jerri Manthey and was the 11th contestant to be sent home. Brkich did extremely better on her second try, for not only did she find an intimate companion in Rob Mariano, she also emerged as the special season’s Sole Survivor and winner of one million dollars. However, her victory was not exactly brought on by an honest and fair gameplan, as the majority of the jury still criticized her for her deceitful strategies and schemes during the competition.
