Born on July 6, 1983 in Austin, Texas, Alexis Jones was educated at University of Southern California, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations and Spanish and her master’s degree in communications management. In her college years, she hosted a college television show for three years called Doing It for Reel, where she got the chance to interview celebrities on the red carpet of movie premieres and press junkets. Aside from appearing on camera, Alexis is also a motivational speaker who works with young girls to build confidence and self-esteem. In fact, she created her own empowerment and non-profit organization called I Am That Girl. She also previously worked at Fox Sports and interned with ESPN. A sports enthusiast, she founded a website that covered the 2005 USC football season, for which she also reported.
During her free time Alexis enjoys hanging out with her family and friends and watching college football. She also keeps herself busy writing her empowerment book for girls entitled Comatose Barbie. Also an avid traveler, Alexis has gone to places such as Costa Rica, Spain, China and Morocco and has hiked 150 miles to the base of Mt. Everest. A member of the Bel Air Presbyterian Church, she describes herself as contagiously energetic, fiercely competitive and resilient.
