Alaina Alexander Biography:
Making the trip from West Hollywood to Los Angeles in order to audition for season 6 of American Idol
proved rewarding for Alaina Alexander. She became one of the 24 Idol contestants vying for a spot on the Final 12. Singing even before she was talking, Alaina has been trying hard to establish herself in the music business. She started off singing at her high school choir and tried her hand in songwriting. Alaina is very serious about her talent, and makes sure she says a little prayer before every performance. A necklace with a guitar charm, which her best friend gave her, serves as her lucky charm. She considers becoming part of the 24 as her proudest moment, and Simon as her favorite judge.
Alaina Alexander considered American Idol to be her last chance to pursue a singing career. Though her dreams were shortly shattered when she got eliminted off the competetiton on March 1, 2007, she quickly bounced back into the music scene with her monthly gigs at various clubs in Hollywood.
Subsequent to her American Idol stint, Alaina Alexander, along with LavenderLiberal.com, released a video with an original song for Pride month. The video was called Life, Interrupted, which showed a montage of people who were killed by anti-gay violence, and featured pictures of the victims along with their names and additional facts about them.
