How to Pin a Vibe
There are several ways to pin a Vibe. Users can tap on “Browse Vibes” from the Home Screen and tap on the Vibe that they find to be the most interesting.

Step 1: Tap on the Vibe you want to pin

Step 2: Tap on the “Pin” button. A new screen will pop up asking you where you want to pin the vibe.

Step 3: Tap on “Home” to pin it to your Homepage or select a specific Vibe you’ve already created from the pre-populated list. The circle next to the list will turn blue with a check mark. You can pin it to multiple locations if you desire. Remember to tap “Save” when you’re done.

Want to pin the item to a new Vibe? Tap on “Start a New Vibe” and follow the steps to create a new location.

Note: You can pin complete Vibes, specific shows and/or episodes, movies, news and photos. Just find the content you want and tap on the “Pin” button and repeat the steps listed above.
How to Unpin a Vibe or Item
The BuddyTV Guide app starts you with some of the most popular Vibes already pinned to your Homepage. If you don’t like one of your pre-populated Vibes, you can unpin it. Or maybe you wish to remove a Vibe that you no longer find useful. Unpinning is easy.

Step 1: Tap on the Vibe or item you want to remove.

Step 2: Tap on the "Pin" button. A new screen will pop up indicating the different places this item is currently pinned with blue checked circles.

Step 3: Tap on the blue check mark circle. Removing the check mark indicates it has been unpinned from that location. Tap “Save” when you’re done.

To unpin a specific program, you will want to find the program and tap on the “pin” button to unpin it the same way you would a Vibe. The BuddyTV Guide app does not allow you to unpin certain Vibes from your homepage, including your Watchlist, Sports, Trending and Suggested.

Note: If you accidentally unpin a Vibe you’ve created, you can find it again from “Browse Vibes.” From there, filter to “My Vibes.”
How to Create a Vibe
Creating a Vibe is easy. You can start a new Vibe from anywhere within the app after you’ve tapped “Pin” and see the Pinning screen pop up. You can also start a Vibe from your Homepage by tapping on the “Pin Something Here” box. This is where our steps begin:

Step 1: Tap on “Pin Something Here.” You will find this at the bottom of your Home screen.

Step 2: Tap on “Pin a New Vibe.”

Step 3: Name your Vibe and give it a description. Select the "Visible to All Users" option if you want to make your vibe public and available to others through the Vibe directory, or you can leave it unmarked to keep it private. You can also decide if you want to include Sub-Vibe Tabs or not. All of this information can be changed at any time. Tap “Save” when you’re done and you’ll be taken to a new screen.
Step 3: Tap on “Pin Something Here” or use “Search” to start pinning programs to your Vibe. For this tutorial, we’ll use “Search” and look up specific programs. Once you find the TV show or movie you want, tap on the blue pin icon. Alternatively, you can tap into the program and then tap “Pin”
Step 4: Tap on the Vibe you just created to add the program. The circle will turn blue with a check mark. Then tap “Save”
Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you’re done adding your programs. Once you’re done, tap on the “Home” icon to return to your Homepage to see your Vibe.
How to Edit a Vibe
You can edit any Vibe that you have created at any time. You cannot edit Vibes that don’t belong to you.

Step 1: Find the Vibe you want to edit and tap on it.

Step 2: Tap on the “Info” icon in the upper right corner of the screen (it looks like an "i" inside a circle).

Step 3: Edit the sections you want to change and tap “Save” when you’re done.

If you want to remove a specific item from the list, please refer to How to Unpin a Vibe or Item.
How to Create Sub-Vibe Tabs to a Vibe
Sub-Vibe Tabs allow you to create filters for your Vibe. Every Vibe automatically has a Sub-Vibe tab for your cable provider, Instawatch and A-Z. If you want to sort your vibe between “TV Shows” and “Movies,” for example, you need to create that filter with Sub-Vibe Tabs. You can add as many filters as you want but it’s best to add them before you start adding programs to your vibe to save time.

Step 1: When filling out your Vibe information, mark that you’d like Sub-Vibe Tabs.
Step 2: On the empty Vibe screen tap “Pin Something Here” then tap “Start a New Vibe” and fill out the Name. A description is not necessary, as it will not be visible once turned into a Sub-View Tab. Also, don’t make this Vibe visible to users. Tap “Save” and you’ll be taken to that Sub-View.
Step 3: Tap back one screen (upper left corner where you see the title of your Vibe) and add more Sub-View Tabs if applicable. You’ll see the Sub-View Tabs near the top of the Vibe.

Step 4: Begin searching for the programs you want to add to your Vibe. This time, rather than pinning to the name of your Vibe, pin to your Sub-View Tab nested under the Vibe title. Repeat for all the items you want to add.
Note: If you have a program you want in the Vibe but it doesn’t fit in a Sub-View category you can simply add it to the Vibe title and it will appear under the pre-set filter categories.

How to Customize Your Listings Grid
BuddyTV Guide app offers a traditional listings grid. You can find a link to it at the bottom right corner of the app. While it is considered traditional, the grid can be customized to your viewing preferences and mood. You can filter by genre, favorite channels or even remove channels from your grid that you never watch. You can also jump to a specific date and time that falls within the next seven days. Below are instructions on how to use each filter.
How to Jump to a Specific Date and Time
In the upper right corner of the listings grid you will see the day of the week. Tap on that drop down menu and filter to a specific day or time. Or you can tap “Prime Time” if that’s what you’re looking for. Then tap “Go.”

How to Set Filters So You Only See What You Want to See
It’s important to set your filters so the BuddyTV Guide app can surface the best content to get you watching better programming fast. Filters allow you to set your streaming services preferences, airing information and more. For example, if you subscribe to Netflix but not Hulu Plus, you can remove Hulu Plus from your options. These filters can be adjusted at anytime.
Step 1: Tap on “Filter” at the top of your screen.

Step 2: Anything that is blue will be shown to you. Anything that is gray will be hidden as an option when viewing your Watchlist or Vibes. Just tap on the buttons you want to add or remove.

Step 3: Tap “Save” when you’re done.

“Filter” changes to “Filter (Active)” to remind you that you have specific settings that could be preventing you from seeing content. For example, if you tap on a Vibe and filter to “Instawatch” but your filters have turned off all streaming services, you may not get any results.
How to mark specific episodes as watched
One of the BuddyTV Guide filters is to make only unwatched programs visible in the Watchlist or Vibe. In order to mark specific episodes as watched you must first select a program. Once the show is selected follow these steps:

Step 1: Tap on the show's season progress wheel to access the show's episode guide.
Step 2: Tap on the small blue circular icon (on the upper right hand corner of each episode listing on tablet, or on the lower left corner on mobile) to mark it as watched. Tap on it again to mark the program as unwatched.
Alternatively if you’re already in an episode view or looking at movie information you can tap on the blue circular icon or the "Mark as Watched" text in the Vibe header.
