Fresh from the High School Musical 3 press conference on Friday, the cast of the highly successful made-for-TV movie headed out to Utah to shoot their third installment, which will hit the big screen for the first time this October. During the press conference, the cast talked about some major developments in the plot and characters of the third movie, which will follow the Wild Cats in their last year in high school.
Vanessa Hudgens, who plays squeaky clean and super sweet Gabriella Montez since High School Musical's debut in January 2006, says that the third movie is “the last chapter for the Wildcats.” Nonetheless, she says it's good to be back in Utah, as it definitely “feels like home—being back here with everyone, it's amazing.”

This morning, the cast members, along with director/choreographer Kenny Ortega, gathered together for a press conference. The press tried to sneak in a question about the Miley Cyrus photo scandal, but Vanessa Hudgens refused to weigh in and kept them focused on the subject at hand: their upcoming movie. The poster for HSM3 was revealed and the cast members chatted away about how excited they were to get to work on their last film together.

Don’t get too attached to the name, High School Musical: Summer Session. When ABC released some information about the upcoming reality competition series, they said that it was just a working title. Might I suggest, High School Musical: Bop To The Top? Well, I liked it! This week, Nick Lachey was named the host of the new television show. Lachey is an ideal host, having been part of a successful boy band that won over millions of fans in the late 1990s. Last year, he won NBC’s Clash of The Choirs and wrote an original song for the television movie, Oprah Winfrey Presents: Mitch Albom’s For One More Day.

Imagine if your school asked you who you would most like to see in concert. You could choose anybody you wanted. Imagine that you wanted to see High School Musical stars live and in person and your school actually listened to you! That’s exactly what happened in the Penncrest school district in Pennsylvania. In two separate polls, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu were at the top of the list. The two have agreed to perform at the Crawford County Fair this August in Meadville, PA.
