Haley Scarnato Biography:
Haley Scarnato didn't have to travel far and wide to try out for season 6 of
American Idol . Her hometown of San Antonio, Texas was chosen as one of the audition venues for the famous reality program. Haley started singing when she was 12 years old and now, at the age of 25, has done what thousands of young aspiring singers have dreamed of: she has come one step closer to becoming the next American Idol. Haley has had the opportunity to work with a voice coach and has trained in musical production. Before each performance she prays and uses a product called “Entertainer's Secret” to maximize the use of her voice. Her favorite artists are Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.
After receiving the lowest amount of votes during Latin Music Night of the sixth season of American Idol, Haley Scarnato was eliminated from the competition, making her the first contestant in the top 12 to be axed after having been in the bottom three in the previous week.
Following her American Idol elimination, she sang the national anthem during the Western Conference basketball semifinals between the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns. She also appeared on Larry King Live where she announced her plans to get married in January, which has now been cancelled as she and her fiancée have called it quits.
