After a burn victim unexpectedly dies in the midst of a chaotic ER, the Chief and board member Jennings interrogate the residents to find the culprit, as all the Mercy West and Seattle Grace residents defend their actions in an effort to save their jobs. Dr. April Kepner is fired because she forgot to look inside that burn patient‘s throat, a mistake that was the main cause of the patient‘s death.

That, in a nutshell, is what happened to Seattle Grace following the so-called invasion last week. Everyone was competing for surgeries, trying to one-up each other, and essentially acting like dogs peeing to assert their territory.
