The 100th episode of Grey‘s Anatomy opens with an Izzie (Katherine Heigl) voiceover, except, it‘s not really a voiceover because we see her in her hospital bed, wearing a scarf on her head, whispering her monologue to someone we can‘t see. She looks very weary and cancery, and she‘s talking about big days. The days that start out normal but end big are the biggest kinds of days. While she talks, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) are at the church where they will be getting married at the end of the day. That‘s how their day will end, but they are starting the day by going to work, because if we have learned nothing about these people, it is that they are workaholics.
