Dr. Erica Hahn (Brooke Smith) is a workaholic cardiothoracic surgeon at the fictional Seattle Grace hospital on "Grey's Anatomy." Dr. Hahn serves as a harsh mentor to Dr. Christina Yang (Sandra Oh), criticizing her more than the other residents to help her realize her potential. Erica has been in relationships with Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) and Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez). The latter of which, dubbed "Callica" by Entertainment Weekly, was praised as a realistic portrayal of the development of a lesbian relationship. Erica comes to terms with her sexuality quickly, desiring a serious relationship with Callie. Callie is not as sure, and sleeps with Sloan to make sure she is no longer attracted to men. Initially, Erica forgives Callie, but she eventually decides that she no longer wants a relationship with a woman so unsure about her sexuality. Soon after, Dr. Hahn leaves Seattle Grace.
